FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Have a question that you want answered by our locksmith professionals? The following are the most frequently asked questions that we receive from our clients on a daily basis.

  • Why should I hire a professional locksmith company when I can probably figure out how to fix the issue on my own?

If you truly can fix the issue on your own, then by all means go ahead!  Most of the time, however, it takes a skilled professional to fix or install a lock properly without doing any damage to your property. Also, a qualified technician should come with a van full of specialty locksmith tools and equipment to help him do his job properly, which is something the average household can’t boast.

  • I accidentally locked my keys in my car, what can I do to get back in?

If your keys are locked in your car, call us right away. Damage done to a car’s security system can be very expensive and time-consuming to fix. Our auto locksmith experts can arrive on the scene in less than half an hour and get you back into your vehicle easily, without damaging your car in any way.

  • Whenever I insert my key into the lock, it gets stuck and won’t turn well. Should I be calling a professional?

Not necessarily. Often, a stuck lock can work more smoothly with just a spray of WD-40 which can be purchased at any hardware store. If you’ve tried this and your key is still jammed in the lock, then give us a call and we’ll be over within 30 minutes to help you out!

  • Are your locksmith technicians licensed and insured to fix my lock?

Absolutely! A competent locksmith is someone who is certified by the state. It is crucial that locksmiths have proper licensing and are fully insured when it comes to dealing with anything security related. In addition to the fact that in many states, working as a locksmith without a license in illegal, it is also unwise to hire uncertified locksmiths to secure your home, car, or business.

A good locksmith technician must be available to service your locksmith needs 24 hours a day, every day, as emergency locksmith situations cannot be pushed off till a more convenient time. It is also very important that whichever locksmith you choose be a local locksmith in your area, so that he can show up promptly to assist you. So, when a customer asks us, do you have a 24 hr locksmith near me who can help me out quickly? Our answer is almost always yes, no matter where the location.

  • What happens if the lock that you install on my door stops working? Is your work guaranteed?

All of our work, as well as most of the locks we use are fully guaranteed so that if the lock or security system that we install or repair in your home stops working, we'll come right over and resolve the issue for you at no additional cost.

  • What happens if I call and then cancel the callout?

If you call for a locksmith and want to cancel, if the locksmith has not yet arrived at your location, you can always cancel with no callout fees incurred. If the locksmith has already arrived, assessed the situation and provided you with a quote, but you don't want to pay for the problem to be fixed, you won't have to pay for the assessment, but you will still need to pay the minimal $19 callout fee.

  • I live in the country and I'm locked out of my house with no neighbors anywhere nearby. Can you help me?

Wherever you are, you can call our toll-free hotline and we can dispatch a qualified residential locksmith to your location to help with a home lockout or any other kind of locksmith emergency you might have.
